The Directors

Founding Music Director Brent Rowan (centre) and Assistant Directors Dan Stephens, woodwinds (left) and Dave Davidson, brasses (right) have over 70 years of combined teaching experience.
Dan and Dave have enjoyed successful teaching careers as high school Band Directors and Music educators (retired). Brent continues to teach privately in the Guelph area and enjoys a very successful performance career, www.brentrowan.ca for more info.
All have Bachelor of Music degrees from major Canadian universities and years of experience directing bands. Brent is the Music Director of the Cambridge Concert Band and former Assistant Director of the Guelph Concert Band. Dave is Music Director of the Kitchener Musical Society Band and past director of the Galt Kiltie Band and the Wellington Winds. All of the Directors are active musicians in such groups as the Wellington Winds (Kitchener-Waterloo), Brassroots (London), Windjammers (Kitchener-Waterloo), the Royal City Big Band (Guelph) and a variety of small ensembles and combos.
In addition to the three band directors the program also has three specialized instructors; Marlene Wallace-Flute, David Knight-Percussion, Jesse Turton-Bass.
